Big-City Business Training Comes to Lethbridge
October 12, 2011
Lethbridge, Alberta -
Lethbridge businesses are buzzing with excitement about the launch of Teamworks Training Institute (TTI). Bringing innovative, accessible and world-class business training to southern Alberta, it’s an initiative that will have a positive impact on many companies in Lethbridge and the surrounding area. Seeing that local businesses were sending their employees to Calgary and other large centres for training, sparked an idea in the veteran team of Teamworks Training Ltd. –bring the big-city training here.
Teamworks Training Ltd. believed there was a market in southern Alberta for business training that fit between post-secondary offerings, small training shops and independent consultants. After confirming this need with the local business community and existing clients of the Teamworks Training group of companies, plans for TTI kicked into high gear.
Ryan Miller, President of Teamworks Training Ltd. says there is demand for high quality and innovative delivery in this community and TTI delivers results. “Pair that with the fact that we have a significant labour shortage looming that could create a significant negative impact on organizations and the entire economy and we really need to get our workforce up to speed as quickly as possible as more entry-level and mid-level employees are promoted to senior positions,” he says.
Miller says TTI’s training programs are multi-faceted, convenient and affordable and will produce measurable results for businesses. “Training is based on the entire company forming a culture and adopting the training so there is a common language and consistency within the organization,” he says. “This involves embracing a program and ensuring all are on the same page.”
Choosing a high quality program is the first step to business training success. Organizations need to set a holistic long term plan, identify core content needs and then implement the training. TTI helps companies on all these fronts.
Local businesses will also have access to world-class online training thanks to TTI’s partnerships with global organizations and training systems. Online delivery offers more flexibility and is often less expensive than face-to-face training. “Our choices are all about convenience for companies and HR departments,” says Miller.
TTI uses experienced facilitators from all over southern Alberta and brings in high profile systems. Partnerships with Pfieffer group, Franklin Covey and Disney ensure cutting-edge and effective training methods are here in the city. Disney’s one-day Quality Service program will be held November 16.
“Training in an organization is so much more than a one-day workshop and the impact it has on an individual,” says Miller. “It is about training an entire company to be more effective, to increase profit and the contribution those companies make to the economy and workforce.”
Teamworks Training Institute has programs running now and many plans for the future. It’s an exciting time to be in business in southern Alberta. Travel expense budgets just got cut in half, or more!
